I was never a big matcha person but I was fortunate enough to come across Yourlixir at a fitness festival I attended in Malibu last year. I was super hesitant at first about trying their matcha sample, which they had whisked into some coconut milk, but I ended up trying it and it wasn't super strong in flavor nor was it bitter, which was always my issue with matcha prior. I highly recommend giving Yourlixir a try if you've had the same experience with matcha as I did and make yourself a batch of these delicious energy bites. They are pretty addicting but I would make sure you don't eat the whole batch in one day. ;)
What You'll Need:
1/2 cup MaraNatha almond butter
3 medjool dates, with pit removed
3/4 cup of vanilla protein
4 packets of Yourlixir Matcha (approx. 4 tsp)
1 tsp liquid coconut oil
1/4 cup of coconut flakes
1. Blend all into a food processor until ingredients are mixed thoroughly.
2. Roll into 1" balls and refrigerate. Option: Add additional coconut flakes on top for added flare.
*You can store these in the fridge in an airtight container for about 5 days
