We're always up for trying a new recipe, and who doesn't love a good smoothie bowl? Whether you prefer them for breakfast or a midday snack, this creamy green smoothie bowl is sure to hit the spot and keep your energy levels up throughout the day with it's nutritious and delicious ingredients!
Our guest chef, Brianna, whipped up quite a treat using our nutrient-rich spirulina, known to contain amazing properties like chlorophyll, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, along with essential amino acids and a higher source of protein than eggs or meat (gram per gram). Combine that with health benefits of the remaining ingredients in this bowl and you've got yourself a winning nutritional combination!
What you'll need:
- 1 cup spinach
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 2 tsp raw honey
- 1/4 avocado
- 1/4 tsp Yourlixir Spirulina Powder
- 1/2 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Dash of cinnamon
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Pour into a bowl and top with mixed berries and unsweetened coconut flakes (or whatever your heart desires).
